The sexy first book in a new series* from New York Times and international bestselling author Elle Kennedy!

Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why I’m so drawn to Colin Fitzgerald. I don’t usually go for tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing nerd-jocks who think I’m flighty and superficial. His narrow view of me is the first strike against him. It doesn’t help that he’s buddy-buddy with my brother.

And that his best friend has a crush on me.

And that I just moved in with them.

Oh, did I not mention we’re roommates?

I suppose it doesn’t matter. Fitzy has made it clear he’s not interested in me, even though the sparks between us are liable to burn our house down. I’m not the kind of girl who chases after a man, though, and I’m not about to start. I’ve got my hands full dealing with a new school, a sleazy professor, and an uncertain future. So if my sexy brooding roomie wises up and realizes what he’s missing?

He knows where to find me.

*The Chase can be read as a standalone novel.

Fitzy with all his sexy ness and awkwardness is it for me. I also loved being able to look into the mind of someone with ADHD. It helped some things click in my mind

Yes!!!!! So good! I’m not going to lie. I wasn’t planning on reading it especially since I hated Tucker’s and Sabrina’s story. I love tucker it more Sabrina I could not stand but regardless this book The Chase made up for it and it made me fall in love with this series.

I’ve loved reading this series. The characters are well developed the story lines are fun the hockey scenes are exciting and make me miss terribly going to hockey games. The sex scenes are exciting as well and scattered in the story with a good lead up that doesn’t leaving you feeling like your readings smut. If I wasn’t losing my job in two weeks ild have no hesitation buying the rest of the series, it’s possible I’ll cave and buy them anyways I just haven’t had enough yet and have to know what happens to hunter
  • No thanks, and I’m done with Elle while we’re at it.

Look, I knew this was going to be a poorly written book going into it. It was worse than I expected. Elle has some issues she needs to work through in therapy. Starting with the fact that all her characters are straight and white, and moving on to writing her main character to idolize a proven racist, Nazi sympathizer. And she obviously knew about it, because she defended Chanel when that point was brought up. Don’t even get me started on her “feminist values”. Yikes. Sick. I’m done. And let’s be honest, the smut is mediocre and vanilla at best. Find a better written book with more diversity and higher morals. Can we rate something to be less than one star?

I finished this book in less than a day and I believe that I only finished it that quickly because of the way it was so addicting and I couldn’t stop reading

I starting reading this on a four hour car ride and when I got home I ended up staying up until 7 am reading it!
  • A bit long…

    By Breezy Blew
This is the fourth book that I have read from this author and while I LOVED the first three, this one didn’t do it for me. There were a few areas that were drawn out and boring, and then others that were glossed over. For instance, after the two characters go back and forth for over half the book (which I thought was too long), they finally get together; they have one night together where no further commitments are discussed or even expected by either one. The next page starts a new chapter where the readers learn that days have gone by since and they’re calling each other boyfriend/girlfriend…what? I also found the girl (Summer) to be a bit annoying- she had a tendency to “beat a dead horse”. During one fight with Fitz, she kept rephrasing over and over that she wasn’t shallow. Fine, except he had already apologized to her and was sincere enough that she could tell he felt awful for it. He then continued to apologize after each statement she made about not being shallow. I don’t really understand why she would have had to keep going with it. In most of the conflicts she was involved in I found myself thinking, “girl, you certainly made your point the third or fourth time you stated it. What outcome are you expecting after the fifth time?” With all of that being said, I will definitely continue reading this series and this author because I LOVED Garret/Hannah, Logan/Grace, and Dean/Allie.
